May is asthma awareness month

Asthma

Asthma Awareness Australia is the nation’s newest asthma publication and everything we do is dedicated to providing awareness to help improve the lives of over 2.7 million Australians who live with asthma.

Asthma is an inflammatory condition of the airways, restricting airflow and can be fatal. There is no cure, but most people with asthma can experience good control.

We operate across Australia, working in partnership with our cherished local businesses who support us through advertising in our publication.

Dont Let Asthma Get In The Way Of Living Your Life

The key to living with asthma is keeping it under control. This means learning about what causes your symptoms, how to avoid your triggers and to use your medications correctly.

It is important to see your doctor for regular check-ups so you can work together to monitor and control your asthma. With your doctor, you can also fill in your personal written asthma attach plan to help you monitor and manage your asthma.

People who follow their action plans are likely to have better controlled asthma, fewer asthma attacks and fewer days off work or school because of their asthma.
